Our staff is the heart of Caring Corner, a multidisciplinary team of educators, nurses, and specialists united by one purpose: to help every child reach their fullest potential. Each member of our team brings deep expertise and genuine compassion to their work, ensuring that care is both clinically excellent and personally meaningful.
Our preschool teachers are certified in early childhood education and hold advanced degrees in child development. Our pediatric nursing team includes registered nurses, licensed vocational nurses, and certified nursing assistants with extensive experience in pediatric and special-needs care.
At Caring Corner, every child is known, supported, and cared for by a team that treats them like family.
Our Program Directors
Director of Nursing | Monica Padilla, RN
Monica serves as the Nursing Director at Caring Corner, bringing compassion, dedication, and over 15 years of experience to the care of medically fragile children. Her journey with Caring Corner began as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), where she discovered her passion for pediatric care. Through hard work and a deep commitment to her patients, Monica advanced to Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) and ultimately achieved her Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Today, Monica leads the nursing team with the same hands-on spirit and empathy that have guided her from the very beginning. She takes pride in mentoring new nurses, fostering teamwork, and ensuring that every child receives the highest level of care in a nurturing, family-centered environment.
Outside of Caring Corner, Monica values quality time with family, maintaining a healthy lifestyle through exercise, and pursuing ongoing professional and personal development.
Director of Education | Ana Rodriguez
Ana has dedicated her career to the field of education since 2007. She holds both an Associate’s and a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and is deeply committed to ensuring that every child has access to a high-quality learning experience.
Under Ana’s leadership, our education program reflects her passion for creating meaningful, developmentally appropriate experiences that nurture curiosity, creativity, and the joy of learning through play. She values the unique strengths and interests of each child and emphasizes the importance of fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Recognizing that parents and guardians are the foremost experts on their children, Ana established the Children and Family Committee to create a collaborative space where families, staff, and the community can come together to build strong relationships and shared purpose. As a dedicated family advocate, she partners with families and educational professionals to ensure that every child can reach their full potential—regardless of medical or developmental challenges.
Outside of Caring Corner, Ana values traveling with family, cooking and baking, staying active and reading books, and being a home educator to her two small children.
Program Administrator | Tami England
Tami serves as the Administrator of Caring Corner, where she brings over 20 years of dedication and leadership to the team. With a BS in Business Administration, Tami combines strong organizational expertise with a heartfelt commitment to providing exceptional care for children with complex medical needs.
Throughout her tenure, Tami has helped foster a warm, family-centered environment where every child is valued and supported. Her focus on teamwork, compassion, and excellence has helped make Caring Corner a trusted partner for families and pediatric professionals alike.
When not at Caring Corner, Tami enjoys spending time with family including her grandchildren, traveling to beach destinations, connecting with the community, and supporting initiatives that enrich the lives of local families.

Leadership & Founding Team

Darlyn, who graduated from Akron City Hospital School of Nursing, spent 30 years as a bedside nurse in Ohio, Korea, New Jersey and Mercy Hospital in Bakersfield. She obtained a Junior College teaching credential from UCLA and concurrently taught in BC’s LVN program for nine years. She has been a guest speaker at two national conferences and is published in several nursing journals. In 2009 she was chosen as RN of the Year in Leadership by the Kern chapter of the ACNL.

Bryon returned to Bakersfield and the family business, Interim HealthCare, in 1996 after earning a Bachelor's degree from Dartmouth College. Bryon was instrumental in setting the plan in motion, creating a framework, and carrying out our vision of a Pediatric Day Health Center. He has been a tremendous asset to our clients and employees as CEO of Caring Corner.
